Overview

All students can be creative mathematical thinkers and sensemakers. When we build on students’ thinking, we create the conditions for deep understanding of mathematics.

We can design math classrooms to support student thinking for all when we:

  1. Prioritize engagement in mathematical thinking
  2. Support multimodal instruction on core ideas
  3. Develop metacognition and strategic thinking

In this course series you will learn how you can use Universal Design for Learning to make these shifts in your classroom.
