Jennifer Yales, Ed.D, is a lifelong learner and passionate advocate for equitable education. With over 20 years of experience in special education, she began her career as a school psychologist in a large urban district before advancing to leadership roles, including SELPA Director. She later served as Senior Director for the System Improvement Leads (SIL) project and now contributes her expertise to the High Quality IEPs grant project. Dr. Yales is certified as a Master Practitioner in Compassionate Systems, with doctoral research focused on parent perceptions of collaboration in the IEP process. She also completed a year-long certification in Conscious Leadership, deepening her knowledge of self-development and human dynamics. As both a professional and the parent of a son with autism, she is deeply committed to building systems and relationships that ensure all students can learn, belong, and thrive.
