Katherine C. Stehr is a seasoned education leader with 37+ years of experience spanning classroom teaching, site leadership, and district-level innovation. At LAUSD, she served as K–6 Literacy Coordinator and later as Director of Innovation and Coordinator of Professional Development Design, leading cross-department PD and building TK–12 alignment in curriculum, assessment, and instruction. She’s known for building collaborative teams, mentoring educators, and driving equitable outcomes for young learners though data-informed practice. Today, she consults with UCLA’s UC–CSU Collaborative developing instructional guides in literacy for teachers, coaches and administrators.
