About
Christine A. Baeta is an educational leader with over 20 years of experience advancing equity and instructional excellence in California public schools. She currently serves as Lead Faculty for the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy at the Sacramento County Office of Education, where she coaches leaders to design equity-driven initiatives and supports professional learning for equity coaches. Previously, Christine was Chief Academic Officer for the Sacramento City Unified School District, overseeing curriculum, instruction, and programs for all students across 77 schools. Christine also served Sacramento City Unified as an Instructional Assistant Superintendent and spent 20 years in Elk Grove Unified School District as a principal, vice principal, and classroom teacher. Her passion for equity is rooted in her personal journey as a parent of a child with cerebral palsy, inspiring her lifelong commitment to building caring, equity-centered systems that thoughtfully meet the needs of every learner.
