Deirdre Marsh-Girardi, Ed.D.

Deirdre Marsh-Girardi, Ed.D., K-12 English Language Arts and Literacy Curriculum Specialist at Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), recently supported the California Dyslexia Initiative (CDI) and is currently supporting schools in the Literacy Coach and Reading Specialist Training (LCRSET) grant which SCOE is the project lead. With over 30 years in education, Deirdre has been involved in local and statewide reading initiatives where she supported LEAs to implement evidence-based reading programs and provided technical assistance focused on a systemic approach to professional learning for teachers, literacy coaches, and site and district instructional leaders. Deirdre believes that educators can meet the needs of all their students when they are provided research-based professional learning, coaching, and support.
