Dr. Matt Love is a researcher at San José State University and currently serves as the President of the California Council for Exceptional Children (2023–2026). His research lies at the intersection of Assistive Technology (AT), instructional technology, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), with a specific focus on creating accessible STEM learning environments for all students. Dr. Love is also deeply invested in the development of the educator workforce; his work investigates the role of instructional design in strengthening the practices of both pre-service teacher candidates and in-service educators.
