Diana Nestico-Arnold, Ed.D.

About

Dr. Diana Nestico Arnold started her educational career teaching elementary general education for a number of years. As a general education co-teacher, her passion stirred for serving students with IEPs, so she continued her studies and earned a special education teaching credential. As her teaching practice developed and her devotion to serving students grew, she completed an administrative services credential and an educational doctoral program focused on reading intervention and progress monitoring within tiered systems of support spanning general and special education environments. When she became an administrator, she served as a coach and coordinator for a mid-size district in Los Angeles County, supporting special education programs for instructional improvement. Prior to working in education, Diana worked in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, developing systems and databases to manage and support clinical trial data and federal quality assurance requirements. Currently, Diana serves as a Coordinator within the Division of Special Education at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE). In her role, she has worked with educational agencies to facilitate improvement cycles for instructional growth, developed professional learning activities, and has been an instructional leader for inclusion and equity.
